What Is RSI Momentum Trend?

The RSI Momentum Trend indicator is a modern take on the classic RSI (Relative Strength Index). Unlike traditional RSI, which only shows overbought or oversold levels, this version adds color-coded momentum clouds to your chart.

Key Features:

• Green Cloud: Positive momentum — potential bullish entries.
• Red Cloud: Negative momentum — potential bearish entries.

Instead of reacting to RSI spikes, you get a visual momentum bias. It’s fast, efficient, and ideal for scalpers and intraday traders.

Pro Tip: Combine this indicator with support/resistance or VWAP for even stronger setups.

What Is the Trend Intensity Index [DW]?

The Trend Intensity Index (TII) [DW] is one of the most underrated momentum oscillators on TradingView. It oscillates between 0–100 and visually highlights trend strength zones:

• 0–20: Strong bearish trend
• 80–100: Strong bullish trend
• 20–80: Consolidation or weak trend

This makes it an excellent trend confirmation tool when paired with RSI Momentum Trend.

TII [DW] Structure:

• Black Line: TII Core
• Yellow & Orange Lines: Smoothing
• Green/Red Zones: Momentum extremes

Here’s how to set them up on TradingView:

RSI Momentum Trend

• Length: 14
• Smoothing: 65
• Signal Line: 32

Trend Intensity Index [DW]

• Source: Close
• Lengths: 34, 5, 21 (Default)

Use this setup especially on CrudeOil MCX, Nifty, or Bank Nifty 5-minute charts.

1. RSI Momentum Trend cloud turns Green
2. TII [DW] line crosses above 80
3. Price forms a higher low or breaks consolidation resistance
4. Optional: Volume spike or break above VWAP/EMA

Entry Confirmation: Above VWAP or short-term EMA for institutional-level confluence.
